ABOUT OUR INFUSIONS
-
Our bodies need a continuous source of nutrients to maintain homeostasis and uphold peak well-being.
Due to mass food production and processing in developed nations, fresh produce often contains reduced nutrient levels leading to vitamin deficiencies. These deficiencies can contribute to various acute and chronic health conditions in the body. Furthermore, excessive processing and pesticide use in our crops can harm gut health, potentially leading to intestinal permeability and hindering effective absorption of orally ingested micronutrients. These micronutrients, comprising of vitamins, minerals, trace elements and amino acids play a vital role in metabolic processes, cognitive balance, antioxidant properties and tissue function.
Here at Drip Sistas, we believe that treating micronutrient deficiencies is vital to achieve cellular health, with nutrition infusions offering a potent approach by directly introducing these nutrients into the bloodstream, ensuring optimal absorption. Your cells can rapidly harness the vitamins and minerals for any immediate repair and maintenance in your body.
· Bypassing the digestive tract allows for 100% absorption or bioavailability of all nutrients.
· Intravenous vitamins also bypass the liver, which, during metabolism, can destroy many nutrients that would otherwise be ingested orally
-
Intravenous treatments are a minimally invasive medical procedure, so common side effects of IV’s in general apply, these include:
-Tenderness, redness and/or swelling at the injection site
-Minor risk of infection
-Bruising
-Headache
During our Transcend Infusion side effects can include nausea, stomach discomfort and/or indigestion etc. Side effects for each vitamin are listed on our consent form.
-
IV Vitamin Infusions allow your cells to gain direct access to fluids, vitamins, and minerals.

Our focus on safety:
· We source the highest quality vitamins from various pharmacies.
· Each and every client has an intensive screening process to identify and understand symptoms and treatment goals.
· Through this screening process we can identify any contraindications associated with any of our supplements, should you have specific health conditions.
· Following this assessment, we conduct a video consultation with one of our treating Doctors.
· We collaborate with you to develop an individualised treatment plan and may recommend vitamins that align with your symptoms or presenting concern.
· Before your infusion we check and record your vital signs. For peace of mind, our medical professionals carry emergency equipment with them to every appointment, including defibrillators & emergency medications, in the unlikely event of an allergic reaction.
· For ongoing and regular treatments, we strongly recommend our clients to have their pathology levels checked, this ensures the utmost in safety and enables us to identify where levels may be lacking. You can have your pathology levels taken at your appointment with our nurses, alternatively you can request these with your GP.

Whether you’re having your appointment at home or in the office your Nurse will come to you. A medical history & consent form are completed at the first appointment, as well as a Facetime consultation with our Doctor where we will discuss a suitable treatment plan tailored to your health & wellness needs.
Your Nurse will check & record your vital signs prior to your infusion. Your infusion can be given the same day as your consult, in some cases if you didn’t prebook a Booster Shot that may need to be ordered in.
Your Nurse will insert a small needle into your vein and remove the needle leaving a small plastic tube which the infusion will run through.
It is important to consume at least 1 litre of fluid prior to your infusion to ensure this process is smooth & painless.
To see positive results a minimum of two infusions are recommended, so we can make your next booking at the end of your first appointment or alternatively you can book on our website.
-
Yes, we do offer pathology testing. For all clients wanting to have ongoing infusions we recommend having G6PD tested & other applicable tests based on your medical history. Your Nurse will discuss your pathology options at your appointment.
Alternatively you can also have your bloods checked through your GP (please note not all GPs test G6PD), to find out what pathology tests you’ll need don’t hesitate to give us a call.
G6PD deficiency can cause haemolysis and anaemia. Studies have shown that high doses of IVC decrease the function and survival of G6PD-deficient red blood cells. -
The appointment will usually take 45-60 minutes. The Infusion usually takes around 20-40 minutes, this can vary from person to person.
-

IM BOOSTER SHOTS
-
Our Intramuscular Booster Shots are injections into our muscles, this allows vitamins to be delivered quickly & efficiently for optimal absorption into the bloodstream. Generally, we administer into the arm or buttocks area.
-
The most common areas we can do the IM Booster shots are deltoid (arm) & glutes (buttocks), due to the gluteal region being a larger muscle the pain is minimal in this area. IM Boosters in the arm may feel stingy & will most likely feel sore, achy & tender post treatment for up to 24 hours.
-
As we are a mobile service you need to book in for an infusion & can add on an IM Booster Shot to your appointment.
If you only want an IM Booster shot you are welcome to come to a clinic we are partnered with. For information about clinics we work with please call us.
Melbourne - 0433 669 724. Mornington Peninsula - 0413 309 002.*Please note if you are only having an IM Booster Shot on it’s own you will still need a script. Cost: $60.
-
Both are two different routes of delivering medicines.
The intravenous technique administers fluids, medications and nutrients directly into a person's vein. Intramuscular is a method where medication is delivered into the muscle - usually the deltoid, gluteal or quadriceps.
IV therapy may be more effective in cases where rapid absorption is necessary, such as severe nutrient deficiencies.
IM also shares IV’s ability to bypass the digestive system. Injection into muscle tissue will get into systemic blood flow more slowly than an IV injection, but more rapidly than oral administration. IM shots take longer to take effect, but they also stay in your system longer.
INSIDE YOUR INFUSION
-
Vitamins and minerals are essential nutrients that are needed for normal cell function, growth, and development. They play a crucial role in maintaining overall health and well-being & are essential for many physiological processes within the body.
-
Antioxidants play a crucial role in energy production and ensuring the immune system functions optimally, purging toxins and eradicating harmful free radicals that can be detrimental to our body’s cells
Antioxidants protect cells and tissues in the body from the damaging effects of oxidative stress. When there is an imbalance between reactive oxygen species (free radicals) and antioxidant defences your body experiences oxidative stress. Oxidative stress can lead to cell and tissue breakdown. Free radicals are highly reactive molecules that can cause damage to cellular components like DNA, proteins, and lipids, leading to cell and tissue breakdown or oxidative stress.
Antioxidants counteract oxidative stress by neutralizing free radicals and preventing or reducing the damage they can cause. They play a crucial role in maintaining cellular health and preventing or minimizing the risk of chronic diseases. Antioxidants are naturally produced by the body, but they can also be obtained through diet or supplementation.
-
Amino acids are organic molecules that serve as the building blocks for proteins.
They play a fundamental role in various biological processes, including the structure and function of cells, tissues, enzymes, and hormones. Amino acids are crucial for the growth, repair, and maintenance of the body's tissues and organs.
-
Coenzymes are small organic molecules that work alongside enzymes to facilitate and enhance various biochemical reactions within the body. Enzymes are proteins that speed up chemical reactions, and coenzymes assist enzymes by carrying and transferring molecules or chemical groups during these reactions.
Coenzymes are often derived from vitamins and are essential for the proper functioning of many metabolic pathways.
-
Electrolytes are essential minerals or ions that are vital to many physiological processes within the body.
Your cells use electrolytes to conduct electrical charges, which is how your muscles contract. Those same electrical charges also help with chemical reactions, especially when it comes to hydration and the balance of fluids inside and outside of cells.
Electrolytes also play a crucial role in nerve function & maintaining the body's pH level.
